1Our Commitment to Safety
At 24, we believe meaningful relationships begin with trust. While no online platform can eliminate every risk, we are committed to creating tools, policies, and processes designed to promote safer experiences both online and offline.
This Safety Policy explains:
- the conduct prohibited on 24;
- the safety measures we use;
- our approach to age and identity verification;
- our approach to criminal background screening; and
- resources available to members.
This Safety Policy supplements, and should be read together with, our Terms of Use, Community Guidelines, and Privacy Policy.
2Prohibited Content and Conduct
24 prohibits content and conduct that threatens the safety of our members or the integrity of our Services. Examples include:
- impersonation or fake accounts;
- harassment or bullying;
- threats of violence;
- stalking;
- hate speech;
- discrimination based on protected characteristics;
- sexual exploitation;
- non-consensual intimate imagery;
- child sexual abuse or exploitation;
- scams and romance fraud;
- financial solicitation;
- extortion or blackmail;
- doxxing or sharing another person's private information without permission;
- spam or deceptive commercial activity;
- criminal activity;
- attempts to evade enforcement actions; and
- any other conduct that violates our Community Guidelines or applicable law.
Violations may result in content removal, feature restrictions, temporary suspension, permanent account termination, or referral to law enforcement where appropriate.
3Criminal Background Screening
24 does not routinely conduct criminal background checks on every member. Accordingly:
- a 24 account does not indicate that a member has undergone a criminal background screening;
- 24 does not represent that members have no criminal history; and
- members should exercise their own judgment when communicating with or meeting other users.
If 24 introduces optional or mandatory background screening in the future, this Safety Policy will be updated to explain whether screening is conducted, which members are screened, and whether certain criminal convictions affect eligibility for the Services.
4Identity and Age Verification
24 currently requires phone number verification during account creation. Users must also confirm that they are at least 18 years old before creating an account.
At this time:
- 24 does not verify every member's legal identity using government-issued identification; and
- 24 does not guarantee that every member's identity has been independently verified.
If 24 introduces identity verification features in the future, we may verify identity or age using additional methods for some or all users.
5Reporting Safety Concerns
Members may report:
- suspicious profiles;
- harassment;
- threats;
- scams;
- impersonation;
- inappropriate messages;
- inappropriate photographs;
- inappropriate voice notes; or
- any other behavior that may violate our Terms of Use or Community Guidelines.
Reports may be submitted through the in-app reporting tools. We encourage members to submit reports in good faith. Knowingly submitting false or malicious reports may violate our Terms of Use.
6How We Review Reports
When a report is received, 24 may:
- review the reported content;
- review relevant account information;
- review prior reports involving the account;
- use automated systems to detect patterns of abuse; and
- conduct human review where appropriate.
Not every report results in enforcement. Enforcement decisions are based on the information reasonably available at the time of review.
7Safety Measures
24 uses a variety of measures intended to promote safer online and in-person dating experiences. These may include:
- age confirmation during registration;
- phone number verification;
- account reporting tools;
- account blocking tools;
- content moderation;
- automated spam detection;
- fraud detection systems;
- duplicate account detection;
- account enforcement for policy violations;
- safety education;
- customer support; and
- ongoing improvements to platform security.
As 24 evolves, additional safety features may be introduced.
8Meeting Someone in Person
Meeting another member is entirely your decision. We recommend that members:
- meet in a public place;
- tell a trusted friend where they are going;
- arrange their own transportation;
- avoid sharing excessive personal information before meeting;
- trust their instincts; and
- leave immediately if they feel unsafe.
Never feel pressured to continue a conversation or meeting that makes you uncomfortable. Your safety and comfort come first.
9Fraud Prevention
Scammers often attempt to move conversations off dating platforms quickly. Be cautious if someone:
- asks for money;
- requests gift cards;
- requests cryptocurrency;
- claims an emergency requiring financial assistance;
- pressures you to invest; or
- refuses to meet while requesting financial help.
If something seems suspicious, report the account immediately.
10Emergency Situations
24 cannot provide emergency assistance. If you believe you or another person is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services (e.g. 911 in the United States) immediately. If you believe a crime has occurred, you should also contact local law enforcement.
11Victim Resources
If you experience sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking, or another crime, assistance may be available through local law enforcement and victim assistance organizations.
Members located in Colorado may also access victim resources provided by the Colorado Attorney General and other state agencies.
12Policy Updates
We may update this Safety Policy as our Services evolve, new safety features become available, or legal requirements change.
Material updates will be reflected by revising the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, providing additional notice.
